The agent skills ecosystem has tens of thousands of skills available right now. About 80% of them fall into two buckets: developer/technical tools, and generic personal assistant tasks (turn off the lights, book a flight, check email). Almost none of them are specific to starting, building, and growing an education business. This tutorial explains the 250-skill library James built to fill that gap — and why it’s free.

Why Education-Specific Skills Matter

A generic agent skill can help you manage your calendar. It can’t design a curriculum that works backwards from a learning transformation. It can’t price a membership at a level your audience will pay. It can’t prep a live cohort session or write an onboarding email that reduces early dropout.

Education businesses have a distinct operational layer. The skills that serve that layer need to be built specifically for it. That’s the gap the TrainingSites skills library fills.

The 7 Categories

All 250 skills are organized into seven categories aligned to the core functions of a running education business:

  • Marketing & Sales — offer creation, email sequences, social copy, launch strategy, pricing
  • Performance & Growth — tracking student outcomes, community health, business metrics
  • Content Production — YouTube scripts, tutorials, repurposing, blog posts, social content
  • Live Learning — class prep, cohort design, flipped session frameworks, Zoom-to-lesson conversion
  • Automation & Integration — MCP workflows, skill orchestration, agent system design
  • Research & Strategy — curriculum architecture, competitor analysis, ICP research, topic validation
  • Content Authority — topical authority mapping, library organization, knowledge system design

How to Find the Right Skill

The library has search and filter built in. You can filter by:

  • Voice type — Architect (systems building), Teaching Assistant, Sales-focused, and others
  • Level — Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
  • Category — any of the 7 above
  • Keyword search — e.g., search “pricing” and get Course Pricing, Monetization Model Builder, and Upgrade Structure Strategy

Two Example Skills

Course Pricing: Researches and frames how to price courses, memberships, coaching, and educational offerings. Helps you choose between self-enrollment and application-based models, structure tiers, and understand what your audience will actually pay.

Curriculum Architect: Designs the full structure of a course or program — learning outcomes, module order, lesson flow, how each piece connects. Works backwards from the transformation you want students to achieve.

Why They’re Free

The skills themselves are the employees. But 250 employees standing around with no direction don’t get much done. The real value is in bundling skills into agents that work together — giving them tools (MCP connections), a manager (Claude Opus 4.6), and a clear outcome to produce.

The library is free because the product isn’t a skill file. The product is learning which skills to use, how to combine them, and being held accountable to actually implement them. That’s what the live sessions, community, and coaching on campus provide.

How to Access the Library

All 250 skills are free to logged-in community members at trainingsites.io/join. Download any skill, install it in Claude (web or desktop), and you can start using it immediately. The same SKILL.md files also work in ChatGPT and Google Gemini.
