Three Questions to Ask Before Publishing AI Content

{"raw": "

Before you publish any piece of AI-generated content, ask yourself three questions that take less than a minute to answer.

nn

Question #1: Does This Sound Like Me or Like a Generic AI Bot?

n

Read the first paragraph out loud. Does it match your personality? If you’re warm and conversational, does it feel warm? If you’re direct and no-nonsense, does it feel efficient? If it doesn’t pass this test, your students will know. Take two minutes to rewrite the opening so it matches your voice. That one change signals authenticity to readers.

nn

Question #2: Is This Specific to My Students or Could It Apply to Anyone?

n

Good AI content feels generic because it’s trained on everything. Check whether this could be published for any audience, or whether it’s clearly tailored to your specific students. If it’s generic, add one or two specific examples. Mention your industry or your students’ situation. This small change makes the difference between content that feels like it’s "for me" versus content that feels borrowed from the internet.

nn

Question #3: Would I Actually Say This in My Live Class?

n

Imagine reading this exact paragraph to students in a Zoom call. Does it feel natural? Does it match how you normally explain things? If you’d naturally say it differently, it’s not ready. Adjust it until it sounds like you teaching in real time.

nn

What If All Three Questions Get a Yes?

n

Then you’re ready to publish. Your AI content has passed authenticity checks and doesn’t need editing for voice. You can publish it as-is knowing your students will receive content that feels genuinely from you.

nn

What If Even One Gets a No?

n

Take five minutes to edit that specific element. Rewrite the voice part. Add the example. Change the phrasing. These are quick fixes that prevent your course from feeling diluted by generic AI content.

nn

Rule: Your course is judged by your voice. If AI content doesn’t have your voice, fix it before publishing.
