(00:02) 12:59 on Wednesday we got another live session this is James Moody speaking training sites. and I’m going to do something cool today we’re actually going to use chat GPT to create a course in about an hour I’ll do my best to go through as much as we can um I’m going to include the prompts for you so that you have them and uh you’re able to um uh what’s the word I want to use so you’re in a position where you can use the prompts with a little bit of tweaking on your uh uh for you specifically
(00:31) and you’ll be able to create a course uh in about an hour and of course there’s a whole bunch of caveats on that so we’ll go over those as well there’s some assumptions that I’ve been making uh when I saying that you’re going to be able to create a course so uh please be patient and take it with a grain of salt but a very very very tiny grain of salt because um I have used the same approach to actually create courses and in fact I’ll show you one before we create one and we go through the steps uh to
(01:03) actually create them now uh just uh I want to put this in perspective so when I use the word courses um there’s a whole bunch of different meanings of that and uh for me specifically what we’re doing right now the one I’m going to go through would be something that I would maybe call a mini course so there’s going to be maybe s to 10 lessons and each of those lessons may have individual topics but I’m looking for maybe you know anywhere from five to six minutes of doable content in each of those lessons Andor
(01:44) topics so uh you’re probably looking the mini course will end up be an hour of content an hour of work on the person that’s taking the course or actually completing the course and um can it be longer can it be shorter yeah absolutely this is just the one I’m using in as example so that you can see how it works and then you can take it and the process I’m going to show you the couple little things that we’re doing here and apply it to your unique situation on uh how it would work best for you and more
(02:14) importantly how you could take advantage of it in building an education business and having this as just one of your courses and uh you know that’s kind of the big thing for me is when I look at this and I’m just going you know man I want to create an online course an online course is just one tiny piece of an education business and teaching online so if you are just wanting a course create one course certainly there’s lots of value for you in what we’re covering and the process I’m going
(02:47) to show you today you can do that uh if you are looking at this as uh part of your courses that you’re offering and or you want to build a campus and an education business those are some additional steps and that’s what training sites. is all about so I’m going to show you that framework of where stuff fits in and then uh we’ll focus specifically on the courses um this session is live so it is recorded these are adhoc I don’t have uh any script that I’m going through in terms of the content that I’m following other
(03:22) than the process that I use that I’m just going to share with you uh this actual whole process is taught within trainings sites. as part of our cohorts cohorts pardon me and our guided Blended learning uh programs that are available for purchase there but this will be available on YouTube I’ll also make it available this recording uh in training sites die.
(03:48) io um so if you haven’t already make sure to check those out and of course like And subscribe to the channel here uh be updated every time uh we do or I do live sessions and it’s interesting for me I was I was putting this together uh today just uh I actually did a A 15minute or live webcast this morning and I did it because I Was preparing for this now that’s on now but I Was preparing for it and I went oh this is something valuable so I actually did a live stream this morning talking about the live stream that I’m doing now so I’ve done two live
(04:22) streams today and um one of the the the live streams that I do every morning I try and do live stream and the reason is that I sit down I watch YouTube and I end up opening a whole bunch of tabs from people that I subscribe to or they get brought to me on my feed and there’s just so much great information uh I want to share and it’s not always about creating online courses or creating training sites or marketing your online courses or education business although those are the things that uh I subscribe
(04:52) to but it’s things that can be applied in Business and Entrepreneurship and teaching online and sharing your passions and things they’re all things that um have value and can apply to the people that I’m trying to help um which are those coaches Consultants speakers small businesses who want to teach and train online uh and share their skills and their passions with people but I put together all sorts of ideas on a on a really quick basis and they’re ad hoc unscripted live sessions and it’s always
(05:26) really interesting when uh when you’re watching in the morning or at least when I’m watching is the majority of people that I see are doing one video a week and maybe sometimes too one of them will usually be kind of a howto one now and it’s highly edited uh very scripted it’s not live by any means uh but it is edited where there’s you know multiple takes of things where there’s jump Cuts uh back and forth to different uh pieces to keep your attention um there’s things called B- rolles where you know an
(06:02) editor has basically put kept the audio track going but remov the talking head and put some other uh video in behind not a screen capture but an actual video that is in context with the voices so they’re very very edited and they try and do once of those a week which is a huge stretch and then the odd time they’ll do something that is kind of ad hoc but it’s not live so it might be talking to the camera but very minimal edits and they’re talking to the camera and it kind of a you know coffee time
(06:35) kind of approach so this is what I’m seeing uh with some of the people that I subscribe to but the funny thing is is it’s moving more towards this live teaching live online unscripted authentic kind of creating content and the reason I mentioned that is because as that happens it’s our ability to create courses and course content that is in that smaller chunk portion which is authentic uh answers to specific questions that are coming up on a regular basis I think that’s where the value is for us as course creators and
(07:15) the thing gets down to it is okay well if that’s true how do I capture or create live stream videos or live videos that answer this set structure that I can use to get to people quickly without having them overproduced and the great part is is I was getting ready for that live stream today and what I came up with was a simple process that can be used or applied to whether you’re recording something for an online course which is exclusively online where it’s uh um uh go as you know pay as you go kind of one or it’s oneon-one for that
(07:59) particular excuse me person to take that course or if it’s a blended learning where for example you have uh you know the online content plus maybe you have a zoom call that supports it or maybe it’s a you know a cohort where there’s all sorts of people involved in the course on a regular basis in a community approach to learning it but these prompts and what I’m showing you today doesn’t matter it can be applied to all three of them and that’s what I found out when I was using uh them this
(08:27) morning so that’s kind of the the big picture of where we’re at here let me just have a sip of coffee um so that’s that’s the you know kind of the the the big thing for me is just understanding that this ability to uh capture topics or curate questions and answers and our ability to do it quickly in a way that can be outputed as a course as coaching or as a community part of our learning campus there’s huge opportunity to earn a whole bunch of money because we’re going to be able to do this very quickly and get it out
(09:04) quickly and uh when I first started doing courses and I I think I mentioned this before you know that idea of a slide deck and getting your slide deck put together and kind of recording videos with a slide deck um it took a lot of time to do that and we’re going to do this in about an hour I’m still expecting you as the expert we’re gonna generate stuff with the Chachi PT and some really cool prompt or prompts and I’m expecting you to put your value or bring your value your knowledge your expertise uh to it to uh condense and
(09:44) clarify what you get back from uh chat GPT it’s still your job to do that I’m expecting you to do that um we’re going to be able to get content that is uh might be in the curated way that we want but not with the level of an authenticity that we need and or the experiences or the case studies or examples of how it’s applied so that’s stuff I’m still you know I’m still counting on you to do that the thing is that it’s going to be a lot faster now and you can fill in the blanks or remove
(10:19) pieces not have to create everything and this chat GPT the point is that it’s not meant to replace you it’s meant to complement and speed up the work that you’re already doing now or already had to do so that you can create as many courses micro mini courses and big programs uh put together so that’s kind of the big picture here um what I’m going to do is I’m going to go through where this kind of type of course fits in uh to my campus blueprint my my map uh so that you have that and this is the
(10:52) big picture map for the training site and then we’ll look at it as it pertains to creating course content and then we’ll go and I’ll actually will do it live and put it in as a course live uh in a site so you want to stay tuned obviously to this and again uh I think when I put this up we’ll put the brakes in so that it makes some sense so you can skip forward but think of it this way it’s like we got the big picture we got the little course that we’re creating and then we’re going to put it
(11:22) uh up into the site after generating all of the lessons so let’s take a look and uh see what we’ve got here let’s me open up some screens I’m just going to open up the map here and see if we can get to uh a good screen and we’ll take a look at this one just because it’s one that um I think is is helpful just to put this in into perspective and you haven’t seen this before this is my campus blueprint this is available for download uh and it’s uh training sites.
(11:54) slmap and you can uh take a look at this and this particular the map right now is closed the 10 steps are here but all of the substeps and subtopics and key points and stuff are are condensed they’re not available right now but each of these has a whole bunch of additional pieces uh you know for example open this one up here’s the one for you know doing a the research in a topical Authority map for your topic and for your course so these are some of the steps that we would look to um before so this course that I’m
(12:30) talking about is one of the steps or pieces of the questions that you answer in my map which is the topical Authority map and I have a number of videos on this and it originally came from search engine optimization and and you want to think of it as this way is that topic that you’re thinking of for your course that is uh you know the big picture on for example if you’re looking at how to build an online course as the topic you may have as part of that topic you might have 10 categories around that particular topic like how do I do the
(13:10) research for the course might be one of them the second one might be what equipment do I need to uh you know to record or create the content the third one might be um you know how do I set up the pricing so that you can end up where you’ve got that topic as a hub and you have each of the categories is a spoke about that single Hub and the way that I do things is I take a look at these topics and what I do is I say what are the categories that are part of that main topic as an example I just used doing research what equipment do I need
(13:50) how do I create the content how do I put it on a site how do I set up charging how do I do customer support so those are all spokes right and when it comes to the spokes each of those spokes most people have questions on what are the different ways to collect money how do I know how much to charge what kind of software or plugins do I need to do billing how do I manage my accounting there’s specific questions on each of those particular spokes or categories so it’s like you got a topic which is the Hub you’ve got
(14:25) the spokes which are the categories and each of those Cate ories has questions to it and when we’re doing a course what I’m looking at is I’m creating a course that has a topic that has the main topic the name of the course I’m also looking at what are the different lessons or modules maybe seven to 10 lessons or modules and then I’m looking at each of those modules SL lessons what are the topics or the questions that need to be answered okay so it’s like a hub and a spoke and then each spoke has who what
(15:02) where when why questions and resources and pieces on it so when I’m talking about a course that’s what I’m talking about I’m assuming you have a topic I’m assuming that you have a topic at this point and you know what it is that your course is about so that’s that’s happening I’m assuming that I’m also assuming that you kind of know what the different modules are and if you don’t I’m going to show you how to do that anyway but you might have an idea of the modules or some expertise in those
(15:31) particular modules so that you know uh kind of where they fit in and you can check to see that what you get back is actually worthwhile or uh or real um so there’s the map I got my topic and I’ve got my you know spokes My Hub spokes questions I’ve got those all listed out um so I’m assuming you’ve got that so the question becomes if I have that what do I do with it and how do I turn it uh into a course and the session that I did this morning um I I did it and I I was looking at it uh let me go back to this map again I
(16:08) was looking at it and I was trying to figure out if I’m going to create a course as an example let me just do uh this is one here that uh another map that I had was creating a course checklist and I was trying to look at all of the pieces that are involved in creating a course right um Chachi course documentation this is what we’re doing today this is the stuff that we’re going to be doing today um but I I was I was looking that and I saying well what are the prompts or how could I use chat GPT to create this
(16:46) content that actually uh fills in the site or completes the site and I think what I’ll do is I’m actually going to show you uh I did one of these I don’t know if if you’ve ever played a sport called pickle ball before I’ll open this one up uh this one like I have I started I have some relatives that were playing pickle ball sport called pickle ball and uh I kind of started playing it a couple times and then I was looking at it and I go man there’s a real opportunity here to build a community uh in and around
(17:17) pickle ball so I actually built a registered the domain built a community around it uh have a mobile app for it and we’re just starting to do it and one of the things I want to do is I said you know what I really need a course for people who are beginners even like myself I need a course on how to get started for people who are just playing along so I said you know what maybe I better use chat GP chat GPT to create a course so of course that’s exactly what I did is I created an online course and if we go to the my pickle ball friend
(17:51) site I go to courses again there’s a mobile app for this this is a free community to go and join but uh I have a course and this one is discover pickle ball your ultimate uh beginner’s guide 47 minutes long and I’ll open this one up that you so you see it this entire course and I’ll put the link below of course this entire course was created with chat GPT and uh we can go through it quickly and I’ll show you where or how I structured this but I didn’t do any of this course I did not create it I did it as an example
(18:29) uh I created the content for it I created the quizzes for it um the syllabus everything was done just with chat GPT in one or two prompts to get started so here’s an example of the course on this one and I have the course description is here all of this was uh written by chat PT and clarified and condensed uh by me and uh actually someone else who is a trainer or coach of it so I get a little bit of extra help after so got a video Welcome to the Wonder World of pickle ball that one was done and then I got into the courses and uh
(19:06) on these ones I think it’s locked right now let’s see if I can sign in and see this one just so that you can see the course and see what it’s about uh on this one let me log in onto the site and and this is this is a this is a community site it’s not a focus on courses I just put one in there it’s about uh the uh don’t know if we’re going to be allowed to get in here if not I’ll close the screen I’ll log in as administrator so that we can see it yeah okay so let me go back to this one here and in the
(19:42) meantime I’ll go in and log in as an administrator so we can uh go and see the course um but yeah so this one was done as a community portion not as uh not as um one that was you know a course first uh kind of Campus so let me just log in in the background here hopefully we can get in and have that show up properly and if not I’ll have to go to another browser because I’m did I get in there we go okay perfect let’s go back to the screen here um so this one this one I was using um a uh piece of uh
(20:27) LMS or learning management software is called tutor LMS the other one we use is learn Dash which again is covered in some of the videos that we have but if I go to the site now we go take a look at the course you’re going to see uh exactly how the course is structured up and how it works let’s go and do this and open it up for you so here’s our course I’m going to go open it up and just so you can see what some of the content is like and how it works is uh we’ve got let’s open one up
(20:58) here want to go and see uh let’s maybe I’m not even taking this course yet oh there we go here’s my course okay so this is the course this is tutor LMS uh if I can go in and let me just pick one here got a quiz that I went through and tested let’s see there we go okay so these this is a lesson here these points or this text and this content is stuff that I actually created with chat GPT so I did not create this it’s stuff that was created for me and we built a course based on the content that I had
(21:49) in this example so this is what I want to show you how to do so that you can create the content clarify condense it organize it in a way uh that makes the Lang uh may be a little bit um personalized or authentic to your experiences uh and be able to use it and we went through this and there’s anywhere with this one is our lesson we’ve got some graphics some examples stuff to go through activities and drills visual aids again these are all things uh that were done in terms of a structure of the content
(22:23) uh that was put together and if you have any questions below make sure to put them in the com uh comments uh or comments below I’ll do my best to answer those uh and uh of course like And subscribe to the channel and also visit trainings sites. and do it but this content was all created with uh with chat GPT and put together including the syllabus including the syllabus so here’s uh what have we got here I’ve been going 20 minutes I want to go and let’s start with the prompts so that you can see how this works and what happens
(22:57) and for me the hardest part doing all of this uh when we start out and you’re creating all this is I think it’s a great idea to create a course using a mind map I’m a big big big fan of creating mind maps and using that for the courses and when I’m creating the courses for the mind maps what that is technically is the Mind map where the center of the Mind map is the topic the spokes on the Mind map are the um uh is sorry the categories are the spokes and the questions that you’re answering are
(23:33) the individual topics on each of those spokes so we’re just going through the map and the sequence of the map and answering the questions in text in this case and Graphics Andor videos whether you do a talking head video or perhaps a slide deck video to answer these particular questions but that’s all we’re doing is we’re going through that uh as we create that so what do we need we need a map right we need some kind of map or big picture uh and we need a syllabus which is a text process format
(24:09) of the map so we’re going to take the map we’re going to turn it into a syllabus the syllabus is the big picture and the syllabus should have if you’ve got seven categories that are in the map you should have seven lessons in that particular syllabus and each of those syllabuses are going to have a number of questions what is it how does it work why is important when is it used give me some examples those are the individual topics or um questions answered within the lessons uh of that particular part of the syllabus
(24:45) so that’s what we’re creating and and that’s what’s going on so how do we create that now I’m going to show you something and again I’ve included these below and I hope that you have them and hang on to them because this is what it is I’ve when I’m doing prompts when I started doing prompts The Prompt was about coming up with a good prompt the part I talked about this morning and why uh I did this is the very prompt that I’m using now is hey how are you doing if I go to chat GPT I’m asking hey how
(25:18) are you doing it’s conversation it’s not about prompts it’s about a conversation uh over some time and I always try and give it some context so that the second prompt is I’m working on the topic we talked about the topic right so you just say hey I’m working on a brand new course the course is called or the course is about and just tell it what you’re working on tell a little bit hey we’re working on a course uh it’s for small business owners coaches entrepreneurs uh and Educators who want to know you know
(25:53) how to create an online course or want to build a training site or want to know how to set up videos or they want to know how to record PowerPoint or they want to know how to bake a lasagna or they want to know how to play a classical guitar or it doesn’t really matter what the topic is but you just kind of ask and say hey what’s going on this is what I want to do prompt three and this one is the important one you can see that I have it highlighted here this is the important one it says I want to create a mind map based on a
(26:25) course syllabus you will be creating for me what prompt will I need to use so I didn’t give it the syllabus I only told it about the topic I asked for a mind map which I need for the big picture of the course I’m asking it to create a syllabus and you can add qualifiers to this right you can say I want a mind map based on a course syllabus of seven lessons if you wanted to do it uh in specific number of lessons you will be creating for me and then I said what prompt will I need to use so I’m asking chat PT to give me the
(27:05) prompt that I should give it I’m not giving it a prompt I’m having it tell me what prompt to give it okay so take a look at that again we’ve got mind map for my course course syllabus and prompt I’m getting back from chat GPT I didn’t give it a prompt I didn’t give it a syllabus I asked chat GPT to give me a good one it’s going to give me a response and I’ll show you those in a minute because we’re going to go through these but it says um next thing I asked is if you’re
(27:39) creating the actual text so it spit this out for me but it says if we’re creating the actual text what prompt should I give you to get the most interesting and precise content and I just use two qualifiers there are interesting and precise content if you want to put uh you know C ious and comedic or just curiosity building or technical uh or uh personal or impersonal you what whatever you want in terms of the actual um the uh kind of text that you’re looking for that’s still kind of prompting but I’m
(28:17) not asking for the to give it the prompt I’m saying what prompt would I give it to fit these uh criteria if you’re creating natural text what prompt should I give you to get the most most interesting precise content then I wanted to clarify make it concise I said is this the best you can come up with then I said okay I have the map I’ve got the actual text that’s there I’ve got a prompt to get text and then I just said you know what there’s a number of ways to structure that content or you know uh I think it’s called
(28:51) instructional design or educational design there’s a whole uh science behind that it’s difference between entertainment and education is there’s a way to uh deliver the content that is for learning not for entertaining and if you obviously if you can match together uh you’re really gifted as a teacher but I saying you know what there’s a number of ways to structure that lesson what structure do you suggest so I asked it to tell me what structure would work best in this situation for this topic
(29:21) and then I just said you know what I need to create this content right now and start adding it to my course what is the exact prompt I should give you to create all the content you’ve suggested the students are entrepreneurs small business owners experts passion about the skills and teaching online they want to De um you know I’m looking they want to be able to have a detail prompt that’s you that will generate text images and content for each of the lessons and topics you’ve outlined it gives me the prompt and then I started
(29:49) using it so where where are we with this right now I at the end of this with this couple little prompts and the one that we started off with which is the important one is prompt three I want to create a mindmap based on a course syllabus you will be creating for me what prompt will I need to use that’s the that’s the the key to it right there if you make that prompt and have a little bit of a conversation around it clarifying and condensing it you are going to get the complete outline of your course and in fact the content of
(30:24) the course that you can clarify Andor add to based Bas on your knowledge uh and experiences case studies changing all of that stuff you can you can uh change it around so why don’t we take a look at what it looks like and then we’ll see how we actually create the course content and again my goal for you here is I want you to take these down and if you’re doing this right now uh and you’re watching it after the fact don’t be afid to take these down and then stop stop the video pause the video
(30:55) for a second go to chat GPT or whatever other AI tool that you’re using for the prompts but go and just try the prompt and see what it gets see what you get from it um and see if it’s something that you can use or that it’s on the same track or if you need to clarify or uh add or take away from this prompt that I’ve given you to get the kind of responses that you want and that’s where it’s really important for you right it’s like you you’re the expert if you get something out that isn’t appropriate
(31:27) tweak your tweak your uh your uh your prompt conversational prompt and try and clarify it a bit so that you get what it is that you want or the in in the kind of structure that you want in terms of the map whether it be the spokes on the map or even the points that are coming out in each of the individual categories or topics that you’ve uh you’ve identified okay so play around with these go and try it uh and see what happens I’ll show you right now what happened when I did it and uh you can go and take a look and see how it works for
(32:02) you and then we’ll show you how we get each of the individual lessons and then add them uh to a course so let me open this one up I’ll go and let’s take a look at one that I did here and uh I’m on a Mac right now and uh I’m on my Macintosh and I have a paid account for chat GPT 4.
(32:27) 0 which is the new one here and uh this is how I kind of got started and went through this and this is the stuff that I came up with this morning after um I was getting ready for doing this uh today okay so this is where it came from all I said was uh I want to create a mind map based on a course syllabus you will be creating for me what prompt do I need to use this is what it spit out for me and it tells me it says hey if you want a mind map you’ll need a prompt that outlines the structure and key components of your course here’s an example prompt you can use there’s the
(33:07) prompt right so building a I had spoken to it obviously before about the topic and stuff online training business the course interview it came out with this content in terms of the syllabus to get started with it it came up with it it came up with this this prompt provides a comprehensive structure which will be visually represented and map using a mind mapping tool so this is the one that it came up with just not even prompting it but asking it for the course syllabus it came up with this which is pretty straightforward it’s actually a lot of
(33:46) the stuff that is in my mind map maybe a little bit of uh orders a little bit differently but the structures there so stop and put yours in see what happens see what you get see what you get steps to create the Mind map nodes putting in there and it gave some actual links to the tools that you can use to create the physical mindmap which is what I did and the one that I use is xmind uh there’s other ones available that they got a list for uh ones that might be of interest to you and I just said you know what if I’m creating the
(34:22) actual text what prompt should I give you to get the most interesting and precise content and I just said give me the prompt and it gave me the syllabus that it I created and a call to action and here’s what I gave to it basically there’s the prompt so I just copy and paste this and I’m going to be able to give it to chat GPT open another session if you want and it’s going to spit out all of the stuff that I need for the detailed and engaging core syllabus and expanding on all of these pieces and if one of these here you’re
(35:09) looking at these and you’re going man that’s not what I would do or it’s not one that fits in with me make some changes organize it in a little bit different fashion if you think module 3 should be module one and module 2 should be module 7 don’t be afraid to move them around if some of those points are not ones that you think are important just change them but the structure of the prompt is there we didn’t have to create the prompt I didn’t have to go and take a course on prompt engineering I just
(35:37) said hey give me the prompt what should I use to get this output and I asked it to give it to me and one of the things you have to remember to with chat PT when it first started it didn’t really have uh much of a memory as to what you were chatting about right the newer versions they keep the conversations in in context to the previous prompts more so than they did in the past I don’t know what the exact technical limitations on it are but I know that if you are in a conversation with Chachi PT and you’re talking about widget a and
(36:13) you have a second conversation that’s about widget B if you go to widget B it doesn’t give answers or responses based on stuff that was in number a because it keeps it in context because it’s a unique conversation so we’re going to get this stuff here I got a pretty good idea because it’s about the topic I want but I can tweak this for the next steps and I’m just saying here I say this is the one thing that I always like to do as well now with chat GPT is when I’m doing all of these it’s like I ask
(36:48) quickly is that the best you can come up with or if I can say add another seven lessons or remove two lessons and condense and clarify or is that the best you can come up with just say hey what else can you do or can you make that more in depth or can you make that more simple totally up to you and it came up with one that was actually even better in terms of the course overviews we had four points here right again this is the prompt it’s giving me these ones had two individual interview inter viws here two in the
(37:30) original one now it’s giving me four for the prompt and I’m developing it’s right here’s the prompt I’m just going to cut and paste it and I’m going to do it okay and there are a number of ways this is the second part I is okay I’ve got the syllabus I’ve got the prompt based on the syllabus to generate the content for me what I want to do is I want to clarify say it’s like remember I talked about different education or learning styles for delivering the content so I just said you know what when I’m putting it
(38:05) together how should I structure it I didn’t say use this uh teaching style um I said what teaching style do you suggest if you have one that you are trying to use or all of your courses use of course mention it here I just asked it to give me one in general and it suggested that for example we had a for this one here it was detailed explanation visual aids and examples giving a practical application tools and resources this was one for the main content sections right this was one for any of the ones of case studies
(38:45) scenario description analysis discussion interactive discussion so these are the learning styles are the way that the content that it’s going to create is going to be presented uh for my course materials and here’s the example for the breakdown one interection to online training business here’s the prompt there’s the one right there six steps and we’re all good okay so I got those set up I understand the learning styles I understand the pieces that that I need to do but now I’m just saying you
(39:19) know what I need to create the content right now to start adding it to my course what is the exact prompt that I should use to create the content you’ve suggested and again I just clarified on who people were and it was here’s the exact prompt so let’s just see what happens here this one pulled it out it’s a big long prompt there’s the prompt for the most of the entire course now it has a limit to the number of characters you can see right here it stopped and I had to hit the go again and it gave me some uh the additional
(39:57) lessons l seven and all of the pieces here that came out but on this case what I’m going to do is I’m going to say you know what I don’t want all of them I’m going to create the introduction for the course please include any additional prompts that I can use to generate related or required graphics and here’s what I did gave me the actual course content so what do I do from here I got my course content with my course uh over overview and objectives who the target audience is what do I do with this now well let’s
(40:33) go take a look why don’t we go and create an online course let’s do a going to do a new course I’m logged in and we’ll do this one just as a test so that you can see how it goes but I’m going to go and say you know what I really want to create a brand new course and in this course we’re going to call it what was the name of it that we came up with building an online training business so I’m going to copy that and we’ll go and say Here’s the course title and I’m going to go and we’ll save
(41:18) a draft here so I’ve got a course title the course is here it’s a draft I want to put in a lesson right now I’m using learn Dash in this particular one most of the lmss work the same I’m going to say you know what let’s go to the Builder cuz I need some lessons and topics but in this first one what I’m doing is I’m creating that one here I’m creating the introduction to the course and I’m just going to copy and paste this copy and paste this here and see what we got here I’m going to do a new lesson
(42:03) there’s the introduction lesson that we’re going to do and from there I’m going to take the exact content that was given to me and let’s update that one and save it as a draft so we have the introduction Shazam it’s there let me go and open this one so I’m going to use the edit key to open up that lesson save the course on one tab I’m opening up a second tab with the lesson because I want to paste the content in right just going to paste it in and clean it up here here’s the course
(42:48) overview get rid of some of the content here and again depending on what kind of machine you’re on and how you’re set up you’re going to want to obviously go and make the changes or editing that you want there and uh in this one here you know for example I’m just doing it quickly we can get rid of that and change it to you know one of the headings there whether the heading be a H3 heading or something along those lines and uh these ones here I’m just going to go and let’s do it and know just so you can see how you know
(43:19) you might want to clean it up in this one I’m going to go and say we’re going to do a number list and it’s a number list and let’s get this cleaned up y target audience we need that one to be a heading we’ll do it as an H3 again and break these down so these are all the content I took directly from the chat GPT response that I got of course you can go and edit it and tailor it and change it around here’s the great one here that was interesting as well that I got a kick out of I also copied it and this part uh I
(44:06) don’t need it but I it’s copied here so that you can see let me get rid of this part there’s the actual content right so let’s just uh update this and do a preview of it you’ll see that I’ve got the text for it after this particular part but if I have the text for it maybe I want to have some graphics right I also asked for chat TPT to give me a prompt for the graphics and let’s go and just make sure that we do a rebuild of the permal link so that this shows up let’s go to settings permal links again just refresh
(44:48) those this happens with a lot of times with uh with some of the different uh tools that you’re using for Community sites on WordPress is the per links need to get uh be be redone uh on a regular basis because um a lot of the things are called symbolic links are kind of U put together links they’re not real links they’re actually generated links so sometimes they have to be uh renewed on a regular basis let’s just go and open this one here we’ll do a preview of it and see what’s going on with the
(45:20) course and the lesson and there’s our course interview might ask me to take the course so I’m not enrolled that’s a whole other session on how to set it up for taking payments there we go there’s my course content I’m going to do the course interview open it up maybe I have to go and edit that course let’s try this one again maybe I haven’t saved it yet let’s try it again and see what happens hopefully I don’t have to save it but maybe I do we’ll find out in a second here put some dummy con uh content in

(47:54) a video you talking into the camera talking a little bit about it but we’ve got this next one here is designing the curriculum so if I went to that previous one and you wanted to have a Graphic for it on how all of this stuff fits together if you noticed at the bottom of that one when I asked it to create the lesson for me it also did this it gave me four prompts to create graphics for that lesson so it said create an infographic that highlights the key components on building an online training business cuz
(48:31) it has a it has a syllabus right it knows about the syllabus it’s been talking about that here’s one for goals and objectives here’s the target audience that it’s for so I don’t know how to do these prompts chat GPT created these prompts for me so let’s see if there’s one here let’s do this one here copy it and I’m going to go and I did some earlier but I’m going to do it and see if we can do it again so just to show you these were the overview ones the big picture ones uh that it created
(49:00) just using the prompts that it given me I’ll do another one here just to see how that works and we’ll see what we get on this one just so you can see that it’s there so I gave it a prompt that it gave me to generate a piece of content that it created for me and it’s creating the image on my behalf now here’s ones it’s come up with again this is just from the prompt I can go and make this much more simple [Music] right so I just said you know dramatically uh reduce the complexity of the image so that there’s only three
(49:59) characters representative not all of these people there we go so now I have an image that is far less or far smaller than before so even if I don’t use I keep on working on these you know maybe I say no text on it um so that the text doesn’t show up there’s obviously some issues there with text but I could just say let me just do this one in uh um just going to say do one without text because it kind of showed up wanky and if you have another tool that does Graphics you can certainly use that and
(50:46) I’m just saying hey do one without text so I’ve now got an image that’s there building a training business and we’ve got an image and that was just something again that I didn’t create the chat GPT gave me the prompt and you can use whatever tool it is other than chat GPT to get more specific and even if you don’t use another tool and you do have someone that’s helping you with Graphics it’s far easier to get something represented here to use as a starting point than it is to go and let someone
(51:21) else try and make necessarily a graphic that is completely out of context with what it is that you want so that’s just something to kind of think about in the background is that you now have images that can be created for each of the lessons this is stuff that’s different than canva I believe you can probably take those prompts and give them to canva as well and it’ll use some of the templates and things that are there the important part of course is that you’ve now got content already done for you so what’s about the second
(51:51) lesson now so we’re doing the second one this one is designing your curriculum the other one was an introduction this one’s kind of more of a course right we need to have more of a course put together let’s take a look and see what we came up with here now I asked it another question to get a bit of a clarification here is said when I was doing this it gave me seven full lessons right it gave me all seven lessons in the syllabus I didn’t necessarily want to go and get all of the content for all
(52:20) of the lessons all at once so I asked it I said you know what should I use uh if uh if if I get a prompt from you should I prompt you only for that lesson or all of the lessons and um I just said now let’s get started with module two what prompt should uh uh what prompt should uh I provide you with the single prompt uh for the entire module or individual prompts for each done okay so it said it’s more efficient to use individual prompts for each lesson and its points okay and this is what it gave me here’s the
(52:59) prompt I get the prompt right there and there’s the first one so it’s lesson two designing a curriculum is a part that’s there so I’m just going to copy it and all I did designing the curriculum is I pasted it in put it in and then this is what I get so I can copy this there’s my content and I’m going to copy it can also use a little prompt here of course right to copy the content I’m going to go to my course now going to go design my curriculum you know what I need to edit my lesson sorry I had the screen move to
(53:55) the side there uh I’m designing my curriculum let’s go edit this lesson it’s going to open it up actually I’ll go back and show you what I did because uh my apologies or I had it on the full screen so what I did is I asked it with that prompt that I just you might have heard me mention it I just said you know which one do you want do you want it by lesson or by topic and it said by lesson uh not the individual Topics in a lesson so it gave me the prompt gave me the prompt for creating the engaging content and that was the
(54:25) first one here was um this one was designing a curriculum so it gave me the prompt what I did is I gave it the prompt that it gave me and this is what it uh put out so I just copied it so I’m going to copy it and at the bottom of chat GPT you can cut and paste or there’s this little button here that allows you to do it and if you don’t like it remember there’s the button right here to refresh it right if you don’t like it just use a refresh and regenerate it but this one for this example is okay so I’m going to
(54:59) put it in and I’m just going to do paste and match style let’s see what that does there we go I now have my content for this particular lesson and I can make any edits that I need to remove that’s here change what’s here contuct the needs analysis and when I’m looking at this I may go okay I outline the course structure it says break down the content into modules lessons and topics let’s say for example these are the points and I just go you know what this isn’t isn’t enough so I can hopefully
(55:36) you can copy this let me do a contrl c and I can copy it so two blocks copi to the thing you know what I want some more detail on this or I want to change it just type it in and change it and in this case I might just go you know outline the the structure or whatever it happens to be here I might just go say you know what on this one I’m going to go uh there’s the second one might just say in module in the designing the curriculum you uh referenced you just reference this step and I’m going to paste it in and I’m just going
(56:32) to say you know what I need some more meat there right I’m just going to say uh so I just said you know what I want more detail on modules lessons and topics I need a lot more content there so I took the piece that it gave me and said you know what it’s there but this is what I think I want to add it or maybe I need some more there so I take a look and I say you know what outline the core structure I now have three additional sections here that I can copy and put directly in here and if I want to I can go and paste
(57:44) it in so that I now have it here as an example so let me just go and update this one I now have one lesson that is created all I did is I copied and pasted taste uh fine-tuned clarified and condensed or clarified and expanded doesn’t matter what it happens to be but for your unique situation all you need to do is go through all of the sections that we were doing there’s the first two lessons I did the second uh the second lesson which was after that and that one was let me just do the second one this
(58:26) one was uh there we go create engaging content there’s the same structure it follows the the learning styles or learning formats it’s giving the steps that are there again these can all be expanded if you want visual aids examples you can flush those out if you want and the one other thing I just want to make sure that you see there is in this section it had some activities or assignments that can be done recommended tools these can be affiliate links if you want and resources so it’s got some additional URLs for additional
(59:05) resources or course materials scenarios formats discussion points and it also has a quiz okay so let’s say for example I’m looking at this and you’re saying you know what for my course I really want a quiz so how do we do that I’m going to look at this and I’m just going to say you know what I want a quiz so I’m just going to say create a five question or I could ask the Creator or just say um uh I just say uh I’m just going to say create so I’m just going to go create a five question quiz is for the
(59:59) students using the yes no single choice and multiple choice formats okay uh I’m just going to say include the uh explanations of both the correct and incorrect answers just say you know what I need a quiz for my course or my lesson or my topic it’s going to create the quiz for me I can go and now add the quiz so this is working in the background where all of this stuff is getting flushed out what have I done to actually create this so I gave me the prompt there there’s my questions I now have these quizzes
(1:01:03) generated that are done for me and again I could have changed it around or I could change question one to this and regenerate and go through and then put it in as part uh of my course so that it’s there this uh kind of whole deal with creating courses I did one here where we’ve laid the outline in an hour I’ve been going an hour hour but I spent maybe half an hour putting through or explaining what it is that I’m doing but those prompts that I showed you right here and following along with those and
(1:01:37) clarifying each piece you can cut and paste in and have a complete course done so that it is working something like this where we’ve got a course on how to play pickle ball so how do I play pickle ball understanding the game what are the pieces per tactics strategies and mental tips all of this stuff that was done here was done that was stuff with chachy PT creating the content the syllabus and all of the pieces for it and again remember the cool part is that we’re not doing this we can go and add our own
(1:02:13) content we can clarify our own content we can expand or reduce the content um this is really really cool stuff all from simple prompts that we are in a position to condense and clarify uh after now where does this fit into your business if we look at that map and we go back and I say you know what let’s take a look at the big picture again uh where does this all fit in let’s go and uh open up the big sheet here and this is where my head’s at with this uh let me do I think this one is uh let me open up this one clarify business
(1:02:53) models we’ll open up this one yeah so so when when I look at this from the perspective of how do I build an education business the one thing that a lot of people miss out on is they think of a course and they’re going oh a course yeah I get a course I need to do a course I build a course I’m going to be financially independent no no no no it’s not going to happen um I actually have another course on 13 different revenue streams for Education businesses so it’s course is just one of them course is
(1:03:25) just one of them there’s another 12 that we go over but that course does fit in to not only the big picture on the map but into the business model and you got to think where does this course fit in is it a course that is a part or supplemental is it Standalone is it a course is it part of course or bundles is it part of a membership site is it something that is a self-learning one is it part of a blended learning piece where does it uh fit in for it so is it part of a product service just an education or knowledge base is that
(1:04:04) where I’m going to earn money from it um is it something I’m going to use if for example my income platform over here see build and deployer seed and grow is this a course that I’m giving away for free as content marketing hoping to get people to purchase or upgrade to a paid program or a membership site uh is this something I’m going to launch as a course that is uh something I want to earn some money from where I want to have a big launch and hopefully sell the course um you know where am I going to
(1:04:35) be uh adding this am I adding videos that are generated videos with AI tools or I’m going to take my syllabus that was created on the Mind map and actually create a video tutorial with it using a tool like Camtasia or even xmind here where I can go and do a pitch on it uh let me see if I can do this just live here there we go there’s my pitch so you know I can go and go in through the model here and I got to switch screens here this one let me just see if I can uh let switch over let me change us I’m just changing
(1:05:19) a pitch mode here so that we can see it and there’s one there so here’s an example of you know xmind basically creates a pitch for me on how to go through the content so if I created my map or my syllabus and I want to talk to these things as a pitch I want to have a talking head version just like this if I am using some of these tools to do recordings like Camtasia or PowerPoint doesn’t matter which one but you know I’m in a position now where I can go and do a pitch with a talking head not only
(1:05:51) can I have do the content but I can create videos or screen captures or recordings with it and talk about all of the different pieces that I came up that were CH generated by chat GPT so that’s kind of cool there when you think about it is having that part of where’s my content is it a big course is it content types is it going to be text and audio audio and video where is it all going to fit in um you know is it part of and this is the big part I want to talk about is if it’s going to be an education business my opinion is it’s
(1:06:24) not a course and in fact it’s not even a courses you want to make sure that you’re building a a campus or community in and around the learning of what it is that you’re trying to teach and you have to figure out where does that course fit in and when you’re giving the prompts to chat GPT and you’re trying to figure it out like where how do I set this up what is the important part of the course where is it fitting in to my business model and if I’m my business model what are the other pieces that goes around so
(1:06:55) and as much as it’s you know I just showed you how to create a course with a couple prompts just remember you can create one not a problem you can use it where you want not a problem but just understand where it fits in understand if it’s part of an education business or if it’s just a course to see if you can earn some money or if it’s just a course to get some leads because you’ve got some content created there for you um you know the these are these are uh all ideas that you have to think about and
(1:07:21) they’re ones that you’re going to run into once you get started it’s always fun when I talk to people at the beginning when they go oh yeah I got a great idea for a course I’m going to sell a course no no no no you’re not you’re not um unfortunately the course only or the course by itself big dollar days are long and past uh it’s education Business Time Training Site B business time campus time and having the ability to create courses quickly like we just started to do uh you know if we’d kept
(1:07:53) going here I lied a little bit on the on the on the title we could do it in an hour if it was the pickle ball course and we didn’t need to clarify it much I was doing examples of clarifying it and explaining where things go in but uh if you want to do a course quickly that fit into your business model in a way that um the course content supplemented it the quality of it and the value of the content you were providing yeah you could have done it in an hour and put it in and cut and paste it um and actually
(1:08:24) put it live into your site and started selling it um you know just to give you an idea quickly if you know I take a look at um we’ll go back to my courses here and let me just close this one up here I’m go over to the course here we’ll open up uh my building an online training business draft one I’m just going to go click edit and if we built out the lessons that we had and started to put in the additional lessons that were there uh I can delete this and in fact even if I need a sales page I can get a good
(1:08:59) sales page let’s do that just so it’s available I’m just going to say so I just said you know what I got to create a sales page I’m asking chat I said I got to create one you know what sections do you recommend that we use for this course that we’ve been creating and it gives me some examples of what it suggests so I take a look in this and I go okay great pretty cool go through this testimonials reviews who’s it for course content
(1:10:02) overview what are the key benefits instructor bio and I just take this bonuses and special offers FAQs call to action gives me all of these great things for sales copy all of the pieces that you would want in sales copy so it’s there and I’m just saying going to say create the sales copy for this course based on they said you know what create the sales copy I need some sales copy for this it’s going to go through and generate it for me and I’m just going to copy and paste it and again you can clarify this and
(1:11:05) and make it a little bit more uh straightforward if you don’t have some testimonials you remove a section and I can go and say Here’s the packages and there we go so you can take the pieces from this and just cut and paste it in so let’s do these ones here going to copy the above ones here and say you know what these are the ones that I’m going to use copy them and we’re going to go and say you know what there’s my copy for it so let’s go and update it so I got copy for it on a sales page I got my lessons in I better
(1:11:47) have some pricing for it right pretty straightforward stuff we’re just going to go in I’m going to say you know what where’s my settings do I have course materials I haven’t put any but I could ask for some they’re there what happens at the end and I say is this free or byy now recurring closed right now it’s free so someone can take it if they register for the site but I just say you know what maybe they have to buy now and I say well this course is worth $47 and they’re going to be able to
(1:12:18) purchase it if it’s something that’s recurring as part of a membership site they’re going to be able to do it but this is an example how it works with learn Dash you can create your course content you can create your pieces all of it fine-tune it and be able to create them quickly and if you’re doing courses like this where you do have a course a week a course every couple days uh two courses a month uh three courses uh a month whatever you want to do that are answering in that topical Authority map
(1:12:51) that we looked at at the start if they’re filling out the Hub and the spokes and you’ve got a business model that uh puts all of this or pulls all of this together then you have a real education business so how quickly can you do these save the prompts that I have play around with them and let’s see what happens if you have comments or you need clarification put them below I’ll do my best to answer them there if um you don’t do it there and you want to find it a little bit more and get some of the
